2. Gain access to Umbrella's Emergency Line - a special phone number just for home emergencies.
3. When something urgent comes up and our office is closed, call the Emergency Line and receive assistance within 30 minutes.

This sounds great. How do I sign up?
Request an Umbrella Home Inspection using your preferred task booking method - either Member app, webform, email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 516-882-4498. Once the Inspection is completed, we will notify you that your account is active.
What do I do if there’s a home emergency?
If you have a home emergency, like a burst pipe or a broken heater, just call our Emergency Line. You will receive the number once you have completed the Home Inspection and your account is active.
How quickly do you respond?
Once you are approved for the Emergency Line program, you will hear back from the Umbrella Neighbor on-call within 30 minutes. Some emergencies can be managed over the phone. Otherwise the appropriate on-call Umbrella Neighbor will be dispatched to contain the issue to prevent further damage and to make sure you’re safe until we can get a Professional there the next day.
How much does the service cost?
Phone calls to the Emergency Line are free after you’ve completed an Umbrella Home Inspection (which is $20 to compensate the Umbrella Neighbor who completes it). If a Neighbor must be dispatched, the emergency rate is $40/hour. In the rare cases when the emergency requires immediate professional attention, we will provide a pro quote in advance.
Do I need an Umbrella Home Inspection every year?
Yes. You’ll renew your Emergency Line membership by getting an updated home inspection each year.
Which hours does the Emergency Line operate?
The Emergency Line is available 24/7, 365 days per year.
What can I use the Emergency Line for?
You can call the Emergency Line for any home emergency. Plumbing issues, like burst pipes, are most common. But whatever the issue - the lights go out, or the boiler stops working - Umbrella is here to help.
